Just wanted to ask what anyone cn suggest I can do to my Remington 783 short action 308 Winchester rifle, besides sell and buy a 700, I have a Tasco Silver Antler 3-9x scope with Weaver quad lock extra high rings and Weaver bases, thinking of getting a bipod that attaches to a picanti rail, and using a small rail I mount to the front of the stock

And also I'm looking to restore a old Lee Enfield Number 4 model 1, its a lower quality less desirable rifle, but its been hauled and Dad always said if you can fix a old rifle, I know it needs a front and rear sight, magazine a stock and bands, the hand guard, anyone have a source or a parts guy they would let go cheap?

Easiest way to get a bipod on your 783 would be to install a Harris type on a forend sling swivel. No need to fasten a rail to the forend.

For the No. 4 Mk. 1 parts, just post a WTB ad in the EE.
You could also check the parts sections of Marstar and Tradeex.

Thanks gang, I think k it was called a Maltby #4 Mk1, I searched found its the cheaper version lol
The Remmy I'll have to look again for the swivel bi pod

Mystic precision started a thread all about using a 783 for prs shooting maybe you want to look at before selling it
Yes good info and more to come, I have a couple of 783 and they are quite accurate, even out of the box but I will be following Mystics thread for good ways to increase accuracy!
