Hello,
Last year i bought a beautiful second hand Sig 226. Unfortunately, the sights are slightly misaligned and I have decided that I don't like the sights anyway; while my front sight is a standard dot, my rear sight only has a single, central dot, which seems to have been made with whiteout. Therefore I have decided to try to acquire new sights and have them install and aligned by a gun smith.
So my question is, what do the numbers mean on the sights?
My front sight is numbered 6, and the rear sight is numbered 8. What does that mean?
Also, if any one has some sig 226 sights (specifically the rear sight) they are interested in selling, let me know. Ideally, though I 'm not sure if they exist, I like the rear sight common on glocks: I__I . Otherwise, a three dot sight is preferred.
Thanks for reading, sorry for rambling.
