Question about SIG 551

Isn't this the same one called a Blue Swiss? The SIG 550 is a very nice rifle, and of course it is on the very bad guns list. There are some non-550 guns in pretty colours, blue and green, that closely resemble but are not 550s. They may trade from time to time on the Equipment Exchange.
You might want to look above at the sticky. If you want a nice high quality Swiss Arms rifle some are even non restricted. They are not 500 series Sigs though. You can get them as Classic Green, Black, Blue and Red Devil, theres also a silver Heavy Metal I think. Lots of people on this board have them and like them.
Click on the " shooting edge " banner on top of forum . Then click on there picture gallery , you will see the swiss arms that are available in canada.
Here's the pics...........these two are restricted CQB (top 552 size ) and Carbine ( bottom 551 size ) and there is also a 550 size that is NON-restricted . They are 3000.00 !

I won't re-iterate what's been said up above, but READ FIRST, if your answer isn't easily found, use the "SEARCH" function at the top of your page, and don't be annoying.
Peeving the Site Owner and the mods with your first few posts ain't so bright.
Oh, and when the time time comes that you're wondering why you can't get into the EE Forums, READ THE FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and you'll learn why. I'm just trying to pre-empt another annoying question that you'll probably ask within the next 24 hours....

). 4. For the record he commented on the SIG 551, its most common name; most don't know it as the SG551 or SG550 as named in the rule. Even more don't know the rifles are different because they have never heard of SWISS ARMS before, when they see them for the first time they think they are the same - they DO look the same from the outside. The rule could be cleaned up.
5. In fact many rules could be. It's hard to gauge CGN when one rule says no swearing and then the very first word of the next rule is “s**t”?!!!

There ARE a few converted SIG 550's(SG550) but they are now prohibited and have been grandfathered to their owners. (If you don't have one already you can't have one now). No SIG 551's (SG551) are in Canada that I am aware of. Swiss Arms does make a semi auto sport rifle that that is comparable in accuracy to the SG55X family (it is different see above
). TSE does bring some with the same rifle length of the SG551 LB (17.5"). A 14" version is not sold but I know of one person who brought in the 14" barrel - but that is an expensive option. They are restricted do to overall length however the 20" barrel version is non-restricted.Here is a link to the options available.

The search function is next to useless. It's only works if you type in one-word queries like Colt or Winchester. There is no way to search for an exact multi-word phrase. It also won't allow you to search for words that are less than 4 characters long, so if you search for something like HK, SIG or STI, you'll get "Sorry - No Matches".aaron416 said:does the search function even work? because when i joined and tried to search for stuff i kept getting 0 results
