I'd like to make some authentic reproductions of these little boxes. In particular, the colt .44 ones that contain 6 cartridges.
I have instructions on to make the cartridges and I have the label, but no clue how those little boxes were constructed.
From looking at pictures, they seem to be cardboard held together with gummed paper tape. They also have a piece of string that you pull to open them, similar to opening a pack of cigarettes I presume.
Anyone know where/how the string was attached and what part of the box it opened?
-Ritchie.
