Question about the Colts

So I think I'm gonna go with the IRG deal on a Magpul LE6920 but I don't exactly like the front sight, I'm much more of a fan of folding sights. How would I go about removing the front sight, is it as simple as popping it off or will there be more to it?

A hydraulic press, dremel cutting tool, or a punch set with a heavy hammer,patients and couple cases of beer

Would I also have to replace the gas block? I know on some rifles removing the front sight also effects the gas system

Depends, that front sight is also the gas block so if your buying a flipup front sight that is also a gas block you wont need to touch anything but if your buying a front sight that doesnt have the gas block you have to buy a low profile gas block or if your installing a free floated hand guard just cut off the top part of the gasblock the "Sight" and install the sight on the hand guard

Got my IRunGuns 6920. Love it. Had it a month or so and she's digested almost 1600 rounds. Zero hiccups at all. It just runs all day long. Get the 6940 if the front sight is your concern.
