Question about transporting...

Hey all...

If I have to transport a restrict to a third location...ie. I have to move(change addresses), and can't wait the 3 weeks its going to take to get an ATT. Can I move it to my new address, and call the CFC to let them know? The other way around?

You can get a temporary ATT over the phone ,usually some kind of number and sometimes they can FAX a hard copy to you. That is usually how you get your new purchases home. Same thing to move them to new permanent location. Call them and ask for a ATT for 1 full day from your present location to your new location and I guess at the same time get your PAL and Your Registrations transfered too.

why would it take 3 weeks to get your att that your moving should only be a few day have it faxed to you

apparently someone doesn't live in ontario:( Good luck with that approach here.......still, might be your lucky day
 
I live in Ontario (Ottawa) and recently moved. 5 minutes on the phone and I had an ATT number (which they also faxed me) to take my stuff to the new address. No problems at all.
 
Yup, I get ATT's in 5 min over the phone to take my guns to the smith. I also got an ATT to take my friends guns to the range because he doesn't have range membership. That only took 5 min too.

EDIT: I meant to say: I live in Ont
