I currently have a Lee Turret Press Autoindex (Not the classic).
I have the following for it.
9mm 3-die Carbide set
308 4-Die set including the universal rifle powder charger
3 die Turret
4 die turret
Autodisk Powder Measure with double disc set(Not the pro)

I was thinking of upgrading to a progressive and eventually reloading for 223 and am looking at the load master or 1000 which ever is the cheaper of the two...

Are any of the parts I have interchangeable?

The turrets (3-hole) and the autodisk measure are interchangable.
I've only used the 1000 for handgun ammo, I don't know how well it would do .223 since it's long. I do rifle on the turret press.
Hope this helps.

I find I have problems loading in FMJ 308 bullets that are pointy. But flat nose is ok since its shorter..

The Pro1000 is the cheaper of the two but if you are doing .308, the load master is a lot better. Gotta pull the handle pretty hard sometimes with .308 brass. For .308 I use my loadmaster as a glorified turret press. For .223 I do 'em progressively.

Shell plates are cheaper for the load master and I think it's cheaper overall for caliber changes on the loadmaster. The extra two die holes allow for factory crimp dies, too. For rifle brass I even put the case neck expander in the priming station so all holes are used.

The Loadmaster also has more clearance. You can't use the auto-index on a regular turret or Pro1000 as it's too short. I've been able to reload the longer 8mm Mauser in the Loadmaster.
