Hi. I took off the Bushnell 3-9X scope that came with my Savage Axis .223 and tried to replace it with a Tasco 4-12X that I own.
Turns out that the tube length of the Tasco is almost 1/2" shorter and if I try to locate it in the stock Weaver bases, the front ring sits on the bell of the front objective lens. Does anyone know how I can get replacement bases that shorten the distance between them?
I have lots of room on the rifle action to allow me to install longer bases.
