Currently live in a house which is registered as my principle residence, my guns (non restricted) are locked in a safe bolted to the floor only i know the combo to, a relative and a friend also live here., they do not have a pal.

I am moving into a condo temporarily for around 6 months, after which I'd be moving into a different house than the first. For reasons that are not relevant, i am unable to bring my firearms to the condo. I do not plan on changing any of my govt addresses for this 6 month move.

Would i be skirting the law here and risking my PAL if i left them at the original house listed as my principle residence? Worst case scenario i haul my safe and gear to a buddies house in the mean time, but i'd rather not.

I believe the window to change your DL address is 3 months, or was, in 2010. There are also objective rules on 'principal residence,' regarding how often you sleep there. So.. technically.. if someone became aware.. and looked into it hard enough.. for some reason.. it could be a black and white situation you find yourself in..
