Received this sight in a large lot of items and am selling off what I don't need. This sight was represented to me as new in box and complete and I want to make sure it is indeed complete from those of you who may know as I know absolutely zip about the sights myself.

Here are the pics. Included in the original box, with instructions, are the main body of the sight as pictured as well as an extra aperture and one screw, also in the pics.

How would this thing mount to a receiver? The bottom is stamped 30 CAR which i take to mean the FP-30 model for the 30 gov't carbine, correct?

Is there something missing that I'm not aware of? The instructions are a bit vague in that they show a slightly different sight with an extra screw on top to the right of the aperture (labelled "elevation supporting screw" in the diagram). As you can see, mine doesn't have that screw but does have the 2 small screws left and right of the front of the aperture (labelled in the diagram as "elevation and windage locking screws). Also, mine has the larger screw on the side beside the 'Williams" print and it is labelled "Angular locking bushing screw" in the diagram. There is a countersunk hole beside that, lower and to the left that the small extra screw fits into but doesn't seem long enough to actually make it through the threads to the other side though.

I have a member interested in buying the sight but I want to make 100 % sure that it is as represented so could sure use some input from you.

Thanks,
ILBR :)

This sight is probably an old model, with no screw on top to return zero when you remove the upper.
the apertures are not the standard, but the twillight apertures(sold separately)
As for the rest it's seems OK exept for the short screw.
This need to drill and tap the receiver and may require wood removal.
I have a few of this kind and they are basically all the same. (as an example: the same sight fit my win 94 and win 64, the first was drill and tap at the factory the other was not

The short screw probably fits under the elevation slide and a longer mounting screw is not there... no big deal .... it is a normal 6x48 screw...
