Question about year of manufacture

Good day,
As the title suggests, can you find the year of manufacture from the serial number? I have a 16 gauge shotgun that belonged to my grandfather that I inherited. Just would like to know thats all.
It was made by Stevens, New Haven, Conn.

According to the chart, it was made in 1961, but it also says that it is not verified for single shot shotgun. I will search some more.
