I am looking at getting a Fabarm!

I am torn between the SDASS and the 14" pro forces. Both have features I like, but I am leaning more towards the 14".

My question is do any of you with the 14" notice a big difference in the accuracy of rifled slugs compared to a shotgun with a longer barrel?

Guess it depends on what you want to do with it. My SDASS 14" pro forces has no accuracy issues when used as intended. To me the shorter SG's are meant for shorter ranges. Having said that it always impresses me what some guys can do with a short SG at med/longer ranges.

The 14" SDASS is a great gun. Doesn't have the accessories available that say the 870 does but its a better out of the box gun imo. I look at it as a high quality Grizz alternative.

The ONLY thing I did to mine was swap the original pistol-grip stock (which I really liked) to the standard Fabarm stock (got lucky with a dealer). The pistol grip is more comfortable in the hand (to me) but when doing things like shooting 3" 00 buck it slams pretty hard into the webbing between thumb and first finger (this is where the Knoxx spec ops pistol grip rules). I tried the Knoxx on the SDASS and it worked great but added a fair bit of weight.

That 14" standard stock is a light weight excellent combination. You won't regret it.

I'd go 14" over the 20" if I had to only pick one, only because I'd buy the SAT8 in 20". They are great guns, I would definitely go out on a limb and say they are better than the 870/590, and yes, I've owned an 870 and 590 before.

The 14" is accurate enough for me. Especially with the hi-viz sights; they help a lot to keep the slugs hitting where you intend. I think it's a great gun.

Depends on your use. a 14 inch barrel has less velocity but not as much as you'd think (only loses 25 or so FPS/inch) . a longer barrel supposedly is easier to shoot at skeet or trap and the sighting plane is longer. if you'll be hunting deer or grouse the short barrel is a lot quicker and handier to carry in the bush.

Glad to see others who love the 14" Fabarm. I have a totally geeked out Grizz and geeked out 870 but for some reason like the Fabarm just a touch more. Straight up stock its a solid firearm, light and comfortable.
