ok so i have wanted a .50 cal for quite some time now, i was just "window shopping" on the internet and i really dont have a clue as to which rifle is the best one, i mean the armalite AR-50 is agreeable in price but it is a single shot and i kinda wanted a bolt-action. the barrett is prohibited in canada, the EDM windrunner is very ###y but pricey, i know i get what i pay for but i was wondering if i could get some advice on what one to start saving my pennies for...

( i really want the windrunner, just wondering if there was something better out there or if it is really worth it)

Big selection available in your country, as opposed to here. Check the FCSA website, most manufacturers advertise or link there.
AR-50 is a good affordable plinker, IMO.....and it is a bolt action.
Don't know how you'll get one across the line though....

This would be my recommendation, the British made AW50.

A little bit on the pricey side, but the best 50 BMG on the market.

Why is the Barrett prohibited in Canada? It is semi auto and has a long barrel.

It was prohibited by name along with a few other really scarey looking 50 cal rifles, supposidly it had something to do with the natives in Oka having one or more Barretts during there protest years ago.

Looking for 50's

Predator, I've got a Prarie Gun Works .50 BMG , its a good looking , great shooting , long range beast that is a pleasure to shoot. (assuming you get pleasure from getting beaten up and scareing people back into their cars)

Before you buy one find someone at a range that has one and talk to them about it. They are Big, Heavy, Expensive and can be a pain to find ammo for. Yeah even in the states, I understand the us.military is buying back up surplus stuff for plinking practice and training.

You,ll be amazed to find that instead of getting 1500 rds. out of a pound of powder like for your .38 spl. you only get 22-25 rds.

I absolutly love mine and hope to travel with it across canada this summer to do some shooting.

PM me with your email addy if you want pics.
