...What does your non-restricted model from Questar weigh without any optics or accessories, just the bare rifle?
Reason I'm asking is I find manufacturers weight claims to be off most of the time, and the claimed weight on the manufacturers website is for the shorter barrel.
Someone throw that chunky-monkey on a scale for me! ;) Thanks fellas.

Thanks guys I was curious too. What about the claims that it is front end heavy. I realize this is subjective...If one likes light AR's, would they be disappointed by the weight/balance of the ACR? Thanks again.

It is marginally front end heavy, but not to the extent that has been made out. I understand that a 12.5" ACR is actually optimally balanced with a folding stock, so that should give you an approximation with the factory 16.5" or NR 18.6" barrel. It's probably about a half pound heavier than a comparable length AR with quad rail. IMHO, there are far too many things to like about the ACR to quibble about the additional weight (ambi features, ease-of-use, gas-piston system, etc.)

It's nowhere near as front heavy as an HK MR223, though.

how happy are u guys with the whole package? i want one with a non rest. barrel, have heard some bad things(sharp edges, busting pieces and such) are they just sour grapes?
where did u buy?

Ecstatic. Quality, fit and finish are first-rate. The top picatinny rails is a tad on the sharp side, but a ladder rail protector fixes that. Haven't heard anything about busting pieces, etc. - no problems with mine. I got my factory ACR through Saskatoon Gunworks.

While the gun has some forward weight over my AR platforms, the additional goods I added did little to off-set that, the DBAL-A2 is a loaner from the LE/MIL distributor in Canada.

I am very happy with my NR ACR so far. About 300 to 400 rds through it without a glitch. I use mine more for precision than reflex shooting. I find it more accurate than any other NR black rifles I have owned, or shot so far. I can't see myself ever selling it, unless I get hard up for funds. But then again, I've said that before.

Very nice set up DP:cheers:, I tend to run between the Micro Aimpoint & Trijicon TA33 optics.

I don't find mine to be overly front heavy. It is heavier than a light barreled AR of course but I don't find it objectionable.

Thanks guys, a lot of good info here from experienced CGN'ers.

Regarding weight, I'm thinking Mr. 8 owns or has owned an SR-15, and Mr. Black Sun has probably owned everything under "it" :D So these comments are very much appreciated.
