Question for anyone who has the 10/22 Takedown underfold stock from HiCal

Does the receiver part of the rifle fit in the factory Ruger bag when the rifle is taken down?

The grip looks like it protrudes pretty far. What about with optics attached?

Yes, they will fit. I run a small red dot & it fits in the large pocket fine. It wouldnt fit with a 3x9 larger scope though.

Maybe without stuffing it in the pocket it would work with a larger scope (vortex crossfire II rimfire)..? Like still packing it in the bag but not the pocket. I'm also running the pic rail from you guys that rises a bit further above the receiver so I can still use the irons.

Are there shorter grips you can interchange for the Hogue one?
