Hey gents .. Being relatively new to reloading, just wondering if I am overlooking anything, so I thought I would ask the collective.

Now that i have my Chargemaster combo and use it for everything, is there a reason to keep my 3BR measure around anymore???

thoughts?

If you are loading lots for plinking or ground varmints it would be much faster to just dump loads than measure each one. I keep my Lee for that purpose.

The problem is that I was weighing everything all the time until I got the Chargemaster! .. need to get out of that habit with my plinking rounds. One thing I DID notice is that my 3BR is much more consistent than the RCBS measure I had.

Jeez Jarlath .. and I was just getting ready to send it to you too!!

If you did I would have sold it and donated the money to an Org.

I have a Chargemaster for all my rifle loads (including my .223) when I used to use a powder thrower/scale combo. For my pistol calibers I have the powder throw still because of the low volume of powder. (And I'm not too concerned about +-.2 gr accuracy with practice loads)

I would still keep it , it is handy if you just need to load a couple for load development . I always put my chargemaster in the box when I am done ,RCBS says thet you should let the chargemaster warm up for 1/2 hour before use .Sometimes I dont have the time to warm it up and caliberate if I am only loading 9 rounds ,so out comes the 10-10 and away I go the oldschool way and done in the same time as it would have took to warm it up
