Did your Hornady LNL AP come with the PTX Expander stop? I recently picked up one of these presses and I'm trying to find one. Thanks!

I bought my press about 3 years ago and mine came with one. I use it quite a bit as I use a sizing die, powder/expander die, powder cop die, seating die, and a crimp die. I tried to get more, but I can only find them in odd places in the states; many will not deal with Canadians. I just now put a die caliper to it before I switch to another cartridge and write it down.

What is the "PTX Expander stop"? Are you referring to the bar with the screws on either end to adjust the amount of flare? If so, my press came with that. After purchasing two Hornady PTX inserts I finally purchased the universal PTX Expander from PowderFunnels.com (I don't think this link is active anymore) and it's been perfect for setting flare on any of my pistol cases.

I wonder if Hornady stopped including it or started including the PTX stop in their kits. Some folks say they never got it while others did. I ended up picking one up directly from Hornady since I broke that damn plastic part that holds the primer guide rod and missing powder baffle.

I contacted the folks at Powderfunnes.com about shipping to Canada but they never replied back. Did you just order it directly from the online store?

I'm noticing that the seller I bought it from did not include a number of parts. So much for saving a bundle.

Yeah, I ordered the universal PTX expander from the PowderFunnels.com website just over a year ago. However, their site doesn't seem to exist anymore. That might explain why you haven't heard back from them. :-(

It's funny you mention you broke the plastic piece that holds the primer guide rod to the press. I broke mine last week and am waiting for two new ones to be delivered directly from Hornady.

I read on another forum that it was a part-time business for the seller. Guess he closed shop. Looks fairly easy to run one off a lathe. Ah well. I got a PTX expander from the bullet feeding dies I bought. Yup, Hornady is sending me a couple of the parts as well. I'm tempted to make up my own version out of metal. Looks simple enough.

I have the powderfunnel.com on as well and had ordered it directly. On the web page it states ENMSports.com will now be the only retailer. Sure enough they have them.

Check out Arc-Inter / Londero Sports. They don't have a universal expander, but they carry the Hornady ones and if they don't have your size in stock, they will order it for you.

To speed change overs I picked up a couple extra of the "Case Activated Powder Drop Lower Assembly" http://www.budgetshootersupply.ca/frame.cfm?ItemID=865
Drop the powder funnel in , set them once for that case, label them with a sticker and never have to make any set up tweaks.

Way ahead of ya on that one. I learned that the hard way in the past. Got a couple meters coming in. :)

I'm only reloading 45ACP and 9mm on my LNL AP. I'm doing the $28. bullet feeder for both calibers so the bullet feeder dies come with the PTX expanders.

Humm, the site says it can't determine shipping rates and to contact them. Sent them an email, let's see if they respond. Worst case, I'll let my buddy in the US order it and send it to me. Grrr
