Hi all
I have the following Hatsan Model 33, .177 495 fps. Very solid feeling, fit and finish very good, feels just like shooting full sized adult rifle (minus the recoil.)
Havent done any serious accuracy work with it yet, trigger is a bit heavy. Gonna swap out red dot with Bushnell Sharp Shooter 4 x 32 I have sitting in a box here not being used.
My questions are this.
Can this be used for hunting? Im thinking rabbits, BIG blackbirds, might be ravens (they are attacking my morning doves), squirrels. If so, how far out can I expect to make a clean kill?
Can I upgrade this to a 700-1000 fps gun by swapping out the spring? I have my PAL and know I would have to register it once I go over 500 fps.
OR
I've been looking at the BAM 30 (.22 680 fps). Would this be overkill for my intended prey?
thanks for your time
