I have hunted traditionally during the rifle season for deer in Ontario, however now have the opportunity to hunt where shotgun is only allowed and will also take part in the archery season this year.
My question is how many tags am I privy to during deer season?
Am I allowed one tag per season, ie shotgun(controlled), archery and rifle?

Thanks in advance.

FYI, check with MNR in the WMU you plan on hunting for additional tags. Last year we where offered a doe tag during the week of the controlled shotgun season because they had extras left over from the shotgun draw. We hunt the controlled muzzleloader season and went to the MNR office to buy our extra doe muzzleloader tag. You can only apply for the shotgun or muzzleloader but not both? This was last year and the MNR issued at lot of extra tags, this may not be the case this year? In anycase we could of bought more tags than we could use.

Very generally speaking without looking at all, most areas are one deer per person. However, listen to tracker. The twits that make the rules are slowly understanding that the deer population in most of Southern Ontario is excessive(likely at the insistence of the insurance companies) and are issuing more than one tag per person.
Hunting with a bow, shotgun and a rifle extends your deer season considerably if nothing else. In any case, contact the MNR and look at the regs to be sure.

I know it is possible to buy up to six additional deer tags not including your regular tag for a total of seven. Check your regs. it doesn't apply to all WMU's but it does for most in southern Ontario.
