most of what these guys said. has to be on the hinge first. but my dad loves the hinge system. he shoots a bar and likes to shoot fast and lots. with the hinge he just drops the hinge and loads the clip with it attached then whips the hinge plate back in. i have heard him shooting at running deer and you wouldn't believe how fast he is at reloading it. but, having a 2 clip systems on non-hinge rifles is faster then this system. but how fast to you have to be? i personally have never been plagued by the hinge system and it wouldn't and hasn't kept me from buying a browning. although, i am looking to handle the x-bolt coming out this year.
