I am currntly getting set up to start reloading pistol ammo. 9mm and .45acp. Can anyone suggest a good place to buy bullets here in Saskatchewan? I would like to find a place around Regina to buy so I can avoid all the shipping costs. Thanks for info.

I usually wait for a gun show then stock up. The Wholesale Sports in saskatoon usually has some tubs of cast bullets...you might check the one in Regina if that's what you're after.

Yup i do like DarkSyd and stock up at gun shows. Buy the majority of bullets from Doug at Rayn`er Shine Gunworks. Also Darren at Prairie Gun Traders.

I have found TNT to be some of the most ignorant people to deal with. I will second the motion for Doug at Rayn'er Shine Gunworks in Lancer, SK. He is a bit rough, but a great guy to deal with. Even with the shipping costs, some places will still be cheaper to order from than buying right in SK.

Other then Doug Rayner I have yet to find anyone in SK who isn't a pain in the ass, greedy and/or outta/low on stock whenever I want something. For the past couple of years now I go straight to Henry Nierychlo, Mystic or Hirsch here on CGN. They all have good stock, good prices, and great customer service. Plus, the cost of shipping is usually off set by not having to pay the PST.

I have had good luck at TNT as well as with Rayner......

Site sponsors Frontier and Prarie Gun traders are also really good bets if wanting to keep it in SK.

While the staff at TNT can get a bit brusque at times they are all good people trying to further the sport while they make a living.

With Doug Rayner as long as you keep in mind that he isn't a Di*k, he just sounds like one, you will be fine.

I find Cactus plains bullets to be the cheapest bullets anywhere when relaoading for common pistols.

TNT has most of the common calibres in stock, at around $80/1000.

My $.02
YMMV

Ya i have to admit somedays Doug can be a little ... well damn, words elude me, i guess notsorichguy said it best. Good prices thou, haven`t tried mail order from any sponsors yet on bullets. May have to see if i`m low on anything and check around.

Doug is excellent to deal with. He comes off kind of gruff initially on the phone but it's more of an act than anything. His prices are definitely good and he has stuff that is hard to find elsewhere.
