question for small game hunters with .410 ?

I use el cheapo 12.ga 2.75" trap loads on bunnies. Being very familiar with how my old 870 Wingmaster patterns, I can usually confine most of the shot to the head/neck/upper torso area. Since I'm in Northern Alberta, I always carry a few 000 Buck shells in case I run into an angry bear.
Any shotgun can work, Just know your patterns

I have a single shot .410 that I use for chickens. Its not a long range gun, but it takes off their heads. Never blows them up. It takes some practice on paper chicken targets to get a feel of where your shot is going. Once you got it, its just about 100%. Most chickens I shoot at less than 30 or 40 feet, no long range required for partridge and grouse.
