Question for SP-01 owners

To those of you who have the regular SP-01 model (not the Tactical decoker version) - did your gun come with Tritium sights?

yes, but switched to the target sights. have a fiber optic front on order from angus to try as well.

Are they tritium though, or do they need to be exposed to light in order to charge them?

And another question: did you guys have two or three rail cuts on the dust cover? It seems that there are two different versions out there:

3 slots on mine.

As for the sights... well, my rear one just has a small label that says "TRU DOT". They glow all the time, right out of the dark safe even if I haven't had the gun out for days.

Only the early SP-01 guns have 2 cuts, new/current have 3 ...

I've had both SP-01 models, they both had 3 slots and tritium sights front and back.

I still have the "tactical" model.

fibre optic I find is ok indoors, but tritium might be better indoors. I don't find my FO that bright indoors.

i found the tritium front too wide. ordered the smaller fiber optic to try.
