HI folks

Just got mine a few mins ago and can't find what I am looking for in the manual. How do you change the charging handle to the other side? It looks like you can probably just pull it out but I do not want to take the chance and break something day 1. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You'll have to remove the top rail section. 2 hex screws, make sure to loctite the screws when reinstalling. The factory omitted the thread locker.

Once removed, the charging handle has a small hex screw on the bottom. Unscrew, pull out charging handle and flip to desired side.

Thanks very much!

On somewhat related topic: you should leave the charging handle on the right side. I tried switching it, but eventually went back. Two reasons:
1) if you sling the rifle, it will dig into your ribs or snag on gear
2) the way mag release is set up, I believe it's easier (and intended) to operate it like AK, doing mag changes with the right hand.

I hope T97.ca would make a folding charging handle for the T97. Having a folded charging handle would be really cool

see that they have abandoned making LHG, I don't think it's very likely, but yes it would be very useful. I'd buy one for sure.

Why would anyone (unless they're left handed) do AK mag changes with their right hand? Certainly not how I was trained....

AK mag change with the dominant hand ? Nope and never seen it thought this way either. Maybe the original russian manual of arms? We used to use our dominant hand to charge our C7 and I joined in 2003. So it’s not impossible I guess.
