Hey guys...after a VERY positive experience using a BRNO 2E this past spring, I'm itching to find one for myself. (after the Canada Post situation is resolved) I've managed to find a few specimens that come close, but there is usually something I don't care for about them. Blotchy (beech?) stock on one, peep sights on another, missing rear sights always, etc. I have a few questions though...and am wondering if the BRNO experts here might have a few ideas;

1. Did the "2E" follow the "2", and is the 2E likely to be more CZ than BRNO? (read a little about the overlap)
2. Are they different in any way?
3. Is one more desirable than the other?
4. Dovetails different sizes?
5. Rate of twist any different?
6. Rear sights!!!! Anybody have any for a model 2, or, know where I could get them?

Why not wait a bit and get one off EE. I have purchased 2 model 2E's off our EE in the last three months and they had decent stocks and all there parts . The 2E has an 11mm rail and depending on the year they can have a six grove or 12 groove barrel but all are 1:16 twist . They seem to fetch a premium but I think they are worth it. Like the CZ's you are going to need a 17 cal. rod to clean because the bores are so tight. If you want to e-mail me at phill.brown@sympatico.ca I will try and share as much as I know.
 
Tradex has two but both have missing rear sites. I bought one from Tradex and ordered a rear sight from Denny in California (US$65 original Brno manufacture made in the 1950's), he has some front sight hoods for the number 2E. PM for the email address if you want.
