Question For The Luger Experts

About 10 or 12 years ago I bought several firearms from the estate of a deceased WW 1 veteran.
Among them was a 1918 Erfurt Luger which he brought back and registered when registry came into being.
My question concerns some markings stamped into the back of the grip frame,11.G.R.8.K.
Would anyone know the meaning of those ?
Any info greatly appreciated...

I'll second bellero id of your unit mark (should be lenghtwise on the frontstrap of your Luger)

Actually the stamping is lengthwise on the back of the grip frame above a lug of sorts.
