Question for the M14/M1A owners .... Update

I'm entertaining the idea of making up a few "practice nades" using a model rocket engine, sset up to be ignited using the grenade firing round. I'll check the legalities before I go putting video of the endeavor on Utube LOL

I'm a ways away from any barrel projects but I am prodding someone I know, who has the skills and tools to make m14 barrels from premium blanks. I honstly wouldn't expect it any time soon though.

You talking about a rifle grenade from the Russians or your talking about the 40mm Grenade launchers the Russians copied from the American M203?

They were attached to an AK or variant, under the barrel, much like the US M203 and both (I believe) could let off a flare. I'm not sure what kind of flare.

It's not a big deal, I'd still want one. I was just wondering.

That is a 40mm style launcher in that case. I do know flare types have been made for the rifle grenades but if they are standard 22mm NATO style or not I am unsure.

fyi, there was a trials version of the m14/203 fielded some time ago- the reason the m16/203 got the nod was b/c the m14 was at the "end " of its service life-

M76 Grenade Launcher new in the tube 135 euros.
M15 GL sight new in the pouch 10 euros.
Small packet air to Canada 16 euros.

That is the quote I got off them. As you can see there is about a 155$ difference between a original and the quote I got for the new manufactured ones.
