Question for the Savage Guys

Will a Savage action and barrel from a Model 12FVSS fit in the McMillan stock from a 10FP or are the actions different lengths?

All present generation of two digit Savage actions (10, 12, 14 - short actions)are interchangeable. The three digit actions (110, 112, 116) are the long actions and will not fit.

Jerry I think may be mistaken on this I bought an McMillan LE2B stock from a member off this board .The Accutrigger 12FV would not fit the Mcm stock and it would not fit my non accutrigger Savage 110 eitheir .There is a length issue with it I had to remove the Pillar bed and reset the a new pillar back about an 1" .

The new fit stock have a different action screw spacing and will not fit. These new fit stocks are on the new center feed detatchable mag rifles, not the regular detatchable magazines with the buttton on the side.

A short action ctc spacing is 4.275".
A New Fit Stock short action is 4.395".

A "J" series is 4.522".
A long action is 5.062".
