Question for those who have used both Leverevolution and IMR 3031: heat?

For those of you who have used both of these powders, has there been any noticeable difference in the amount of heat buildup in your barrel?

I've never paid attention to this with rifles, but I know about powder choice affecting gun heat with revolvers. Perhaps that theory carries over. I'm looking to make a practice load that is easy on the gun. Maybe someone with some experience can chime in before I go test it myself.
 
I have used Leverevolution in my 30-30 rifles for some time. I have used W748 and IMR 3031 in the past.
Never observed any greater heat from LVRV, but it does deliver superior velocities.

My Marlin 336A shoots the 170 Speer FN into 1 moa regularly at 2335 FPS.

It is not noticeably dirtier with my loads, but lighter loads may show more soot due to incomplete burn.

This is the time of year for fingers around the barrel absorbing some of that warmth between shots.
