No one here has ordered a boyds stock for a savage rimfire before?
No - bought my 93R17 (BTV) with the "factory" Boyd's thumbhole stock - was way cheaper than getting the recycled coke bottle stock and then paying the cost of a Boyds in the aftermarket. Always cheaper to chuck the 50 or 100 extra bucks up front then pay the (now) close to $250 CDN later.

Hey guys,
Im looking to get a varmint pro (tacticool) or a peppered thumbhole for my Savage 93R17 Heavy barrel. Will my action just drop right in or is any fitting required?
Thanks
I agree but i bought my savage used so that wasnt really an option.
You first have to determine if you have an "E" receiver or a "Pre-E" receiver... they receivers were redesigned mid-2008. Boyd's only inlets for the E receiver... so if it is a Pre-E, it will require minor inletting.
The gun was bought last year from Cabelas (which is what the seller told me). It is an accutrigger model so I assume that will be an "E" receiver. So will I need a new trigger guard and mag plate for this model?
