could some of you guys tell me, i bought a m14 nat. match rear sight i got all the parts installed except the tiny spring and a small bearing. where are these parts located/assembled in the rear sight? i would appreciate any info you can provide me. tx for reading.........

Are the parts really tiny? If so they are the ball detent and spring that allow the aperture to "click" in place. When you rotate the hood on the sight you should feel it click into position. If your sight does this now, then the parts are already installed and your parts are spares. The spring clip that holds the hood to the sight ramp sometimes fails or comes off, the hood falls off and the spring and ball detent go flying.

If the hood freely rotates without clicking then you need to remove the spring clip and install the spring and detent.

which hood???????//

are you talking about the windage or elevation knob? when you mention hood, is the peep circular sight, that goes up and down? tx bud.....

I am talking about the peep sight itself, the NM sight has the hood that rotates to give you 1/2 min changes in elevation. When the hood is rotated you should feel it click into place.

This is a good page that shows you how to install the NM sight www.fulton-armory.com/NMRearSight.htm
