Question fr the Swiss Arms guys.

Hey fellas I am wondering if a B&T quadrail will fit on my Black Special Target? I haven't been able to find a really good picture of how it interfaces with the rifle.

Will the welded on rail interfere? Or will it slide right on there no sweat?
I am thinking about taking the plunge and getting one but want to hear from some guys who are running them. Good? Bad? Heavy? Cumbersome? Worth it? Not worth it?

Yes it will fit. It attaches using the front pivot pin and bayonet lug.

Really really heavy. I'd stay away from it.

As Kampfhamster said, it's heavy... adding to an already heavy rifle. It also doesn't free float the barrel.

I quite like the rail - good quality and a great way to mount a decent bipod to the rifle. It does not FF the barrel, but neither does the factory handguard. Installation is very easy.

I do not have a rifle in front of me so I am not sure if the B&T rail finishes to the same height as the integral optics rail on the rifle.

Well thanks for the info guys. I have a couple of ideas floating around in my head about possibly trying to modify one to make it free floating. Not really sure if it will be possible or not. I need to get one in my hands to see if it can be done.

I have never been a big fan of the stock Swiss bipod and I do a lot of my shooting off of one, so being able to put a nice Harris on would be great. If I do decide to go ahead with my brainwave I will post some pics for sure. I have a feeling if it could be done, someone would have done it by now.
