Does anyone know how to remove the buttpad on the Benelli Supernova 3?

It does not come with a manual so I looked up the Nova / Supernova manuals. Supposedly it should be pulled off easily...

So far I’ve tried:
  • Pushing the buttpad upward and outward, against the ground, with all my strength
  • Using zip ties to hold tension on it while prying with tools and pulling as hard as I can
  • Squeezing the sides and try pop it
  • Probing with a screwdriver for a hidden screw, though there are no visible screw holes

Nothing has worked so far. Any tips would be appreciated, and sorry if this is a silly question!

those look like little screw hole plugs on the buttpad
Thank you so much! Thanks to you, I finally figured it out. Most of my universal screwdrivers barely fit, and the screw was so stiff I couldn’t even feel it.

It seems the Benelli supernova 3 factory buttpad uses M2.5 or M3 x 15mm screws.

I needed some leverage to loosen it, and my precision screwdriver with the pillar handle didn’t work well. a #1x1-1/2" is the perfect tool. The small opening makes it difficult to get a driver in at all.

I can finally swap in the LimbSaver 10810, but it’s not a perfect fit. I think I will try a slip-on pad instead, the 12Ga recoil would definitely break those screw bosses, especially the recoil cannot be transferred to the whole pad.

May both sides of your pillow always be cold!
