Hi I have just bought a clip on ebay for a Winchester model 100.It is used and dirty.I was wondering if and how I can disassemble and clean this clip. Thanks for any input.

I don't have one to look at, but on some magazines the floor plate has some kind of latch or spring end which is depressed and the floor plate slides off and the spring and follower come out the bottom. Take a close look at yours , you may be able to figure it out, but watch closely because it has to go back together the same way or it won't work right.

You figured it out all by yourself PP, be careful when pulling the flat spring out of the slot on the bottom plate, some of those springs are quite brittle and will break when you least expect it. bearhunter

Its no good any more, ship it to me and I'll give you the best metal recycle price around. Just kidding!
I'd be inclined to try hot water and dishsoap in the kitchen sink with a small brush and not even take it apart. Compressed air will blow the rinse water out if you in a hurray. Then lightly lube with a good gun oil.
