Question: Is D Henry Gunmaker still out there?

David is still out there .. he is no longer in the business of selling guns, just fixing them. Look his shop up on the net yellow pages. His shop is in Bentley.
His website, as you know, is toast.

:)

David is very busy, he only opens his door to the public or answers his phone on Wednesdays. If you call and get his voice mail he will return your call, but don't be put off if you can't get him on your first call. He is that busy.

The domain name on his website Expired. Im sure that will be fixed.

Yeah he's busy, The good ones usually are.

He usually replies to my emails within a few days, Good Service.

David Bentley does excellent work. :agree:

He did the chamber and barrel band on my .458 Lott.
I was wondering if he was still smithing, he is the right man to work over my ZKK-602 once I get all the parts.

shop hours

This seems like a good oppertunity to clear up a few questions going around. As stated I had to make some changes to my shop hours, and am open on Wednesdays only from 9-5 and will pick up the phone on the same day to answer calls.
I gave up on the message return nonsense as there seems to be about four hours worth everyday.
I got out of the retail sales business in February, selling all my inventory to Battle River Sports in Stettler. (They built a big new store,)
My web site domain registration expired this month and I will not be renewing it.The reason being I no longer have the time to maintain and update it, plus a few other pet peaves regarding technology.
I guess I just got to the point where I had to face the fact that I had too much on my plate and some decisions had to be made.
I will be accepting projects more carefuly in future, with the hope that turn around time will be much faster. And hope to get a bit more time for family and fun.
I am going to the Yukon/NWT with a cattle liner full of horses for an outfitter client of mine and am glad to be getting a break. But not to worry I should be back in the shop by the 9th of July.
Hope this clears up any confusion. Regards David.
