Hey guys. I put a Tapco T6 stock on my 10/22 and I noticed something weird. When I put the action in the stock and bolt it down it is still loose. Like I can jiggle it around. I think the screw bottoms out before it tightens. Then when I put the top rail part on it holds down the barrel but if I try I can still feel some slight movement. Any one else have this happen?

Never had your problem with mine (10/22 compact on standard T6 stock). I can't remember: Does Tapco provide a stock/receiver bolt specific for the stock?

Also, is your barrel matched to the barrel channel on the stock? Doesn't one version of the T6 has the channel hogged out for a bull barrel?

I have the right barrel for the stock. The barrel fits very close to snug. It is like the screw needs a washer or something

I assume the receiver hasn't been modified, but maybe your stock screw or the stock itself as been modified. My stock screw is 1.127" overall length, with 0.532" for the threaded portion. The dimension from the bottom surface of the stock to the top of the pillar that contacts the underside of the receiver is 0.815". The countersunk hole that the screw head rests in is around 0.182" deep.

If that doesn't reveal anything, I'd return it to the retailer. If that's not feasible, I'd stick a washer in there and call it good.
