I need some help from the Lee 1000 guys. I have two presses one in .45 and on in 9mm. Everything is running smoothly with both except the 9mm will usually feed a primer no matter if there is a casing present and the .45 will do it properly and only feed a primer when a casing is present. I have looked at both primer sensors and can't see a difference? Obviously when my feeder tubes are filled on the 9mm press and I am pumping away I don't even notice this but I would like to figure it out none the less.

Check the screw tension on the plastic sensor. If its too strong the plastic will stay back and allow a primer through every time.

Another thing to check is the triangle spring below the primer plunger on the base of the shell plate carrier. If this gets gunked up or bent it can cause problems.
