Question of value for a Model 12 - 20 DU

A friend of mine approached me to help sell his Model 12 - 20 ga. DU special.
He bought it at a Ducks Unlimited dinner in the mid 90's and has never fired it, lost the box and decided he wants to sell.

Any ideas on what something like this is worth?

When did Winchester stop making the Mod. 12? This is probably a Browning. What kind of condition is it in? Any pic's?

You are absolutley right it probably is a Browning repro from the 90's.
It is in mint shape never been out of the safe in 10 years.

I am going to get some pix next week, can't before that.

The basic shotgun today sells for $450.00 to $650.00 for the standard grade anything above that was a donation to D.U.

IIRC the Browning ones don't breakdown in half like the originals did.

They do break down in half . If they did not then they would be a model 25.

Grade I ... $ 650- $ 750 Grade VI with Gold Inlays $ 1200 - $ 1300.
Engraved nitride finish (silver) - roughly the same as the Grade VI.

DU offered the Model 12 "dinner guns" in 3 different finishes in 20 & 28, same with
the 42 in 410. Also as a 3-gun set.
