I always thought the M14s (Norinco) came with one 5/20 round magazine. I see they are shipping only with 5 rounders. Are the dealers taking them out or do they ship from the factory with 5's only? I am just wondering. A 5/20 by itself is about $40. It starts to add up if you're buying more than one rifle.

What is the dealer advertising? If the ad. says the rifle comes with one 5/5 magazine, that's the package you are buying.
No doubt there are dealers who strip extra items included by the mfr, and then sell them separately.
There are other dealers who might include extras to promote sales.
One gun I bought came with one magazine, serial numbered to the gun, also numbered "2". I assume there was a "1".

The one i bought years ago from Marstar came with a 5 rounder.
I have only seen one time in which I purchased an "as new" 2007 Norc M14 that came with everything:
1x M14
1x Combo tool
1x Grease tube
1x Chamber brush
1x Cleaning rod
1x Sling
1x Manual
1x 5/20 rounder
2x little 5 rounders
Every other time, the rifle was accompanied with a single 5 rounder.
<shrug> Oh well, that is how things go I suppose.
Mags missing
I bought my first about a year and a half ago from a dealer in Brantford Ont. Its a Marstar 2007 and the SOBs had removed the extra mags and included the one five rounder. He tried to sell me extra mags at a much inflated price. I declined and told him that I'd save my money and buy them from Marstar. I was pissed as I already paid an inflated price for the rifle (Marstar was sold out) and they tried to jam me for the mags too. BTW he has the one 10 rounder and the other 5 hanging on the wall. The ones that should have been in my box!

Back in 2002, Skullboy and I paid (get ready) $ 699 for our Norinco-plinko M14's and we each got a 5 rounder! There; do you all feel better about such great deals?

I ain't the type of dude to focus on the negative..... here's the positive part:
All this $700 M14 BS came down before the Americans liberated IRAQ and back then I bought a SLEW (read: shztload) of M14 USGI parts on EBAY (before ebay's 'gender confused' current policies on boomsticks)
So as the Buddhists say, "IT's all good!"

look at your packing box. more like 4 20's and 2 5's. there was a time "THEY" weren't even giving you a cleaning kit or a sling? same as the 1911 one mag only, purchase the cleaning rod and spare mag extra. said rifle or pistol still worth more then what we payed. just feels funny getting raped without knowing it.
