Question on AR-15 and its variants

All AR15 and variants are restricted.

There are a few guns that look similar to an AR15 but aren't the same and are available as NR.

XCR, ACR, AR180, Robinson Arms M96, ATRS Modern Hunter / Varmiter are the most AR like.
 
Brands would be too long to list since almost everyone makes a modern rifle these days. Some of note would be (in no particular order) North Eastern Arms, Colt Canada, Bushmaster, Norinco, Daniel Defence, Midwest Industries, BCM, Noveske, H&K, Bear Creek and a host of others.
 
Colt and Armalite are still good, there's also Daniel Defence, and for a budget start, DPMS.

I know there's more, but those are just the first one that come to mind.
