question on barrell temperature...

So when you are out shooting one of your favorite 38's 45's or whatever at what point do you stop shooting to let your barrel cool?

End of the shooting session, or when all ammo I brought is spent.

For a revolver, when it's too hot to reload (left hand ejecting and holding barrel/cylinder/frame), and or a semi, when I think it's hot enough to damage the holster.
