I see a lot of firearms advertised for sale in this Hunting and Sporting Arms section.

Is this practice now allowed in addition to the equipment exchange sections?

The for sale posts are made by new members who try to get around the new EE access requirements.
To be fair. I had to really dig around this forum to find the requirements for EE access.

Nothing in the forum rules, nothing in the EE section, was a sticky in the introduction.

I dont agree with having to buy to gain feedback in order to sell.

I don't think the process requires you to.buy anything , you just have a certain number of posts then get approved , isn't it?

I applaud and support the administration and moderators with this decision.

I'm not sure it's the right process or not but I certainly appreciate the efforts to keep the EE as safe as they can.

Admittedly I have no input to make the EE access quick and easy while keeping it a safe place to buy, sell, trade.

It's also somthing I believe the site wants to distance itself with for understandable liability issues.

Quite frankly I will not send money to a new member unless I'm prepared to lose it.

Feedback for a "newbie" is fairly easy to get.
Buying a couple of bases, rings, sling, specifically to get feedback, then resell those same items for the cost of shipping or dirt cheap so they will sell guaranteed fast.

A person could get 5 positive feedbacks in a week for spending $100.

A cheap investment to get EE access.

Now the member is free to list $800 scopes and $1500 rifles.

I think feedback that is left should have a box for "Deal Value $$$" so what I mentioned above can be public knowledge, showing all 5 deals are for $20 items

You dont need to buy anything to get access to the EE, but you need to buy to get feedback to post for sale.

Level 2:
Permission to create and post ad: the member must have already obtained a positive trading feedback from an existing member and have a minimum activities of 45 days in the forum.

I kind of figured it wasn’t okay to be posting for sale ads in these areas.

The troll numbers on Gunnutz appears to be getting worse though….:(

I’m guessing it’s difficult to control and weed out these people.

It's unfortunate, this site is a great resource and there is quite a few members who are knowledgeable and I take their advice without hesitation.
It's actually quite remarkable how knowledgeable some are.

I've often thought it would be nice to meet a few of the members and a couple of mods I respect

I've met the board owner "Greentips" in a church banquet hall at a gunshot in Mississauga, ON

On the other hand there is a certain element that's always promoting themselves as the best especially distance, caliber hunting posts.
There the guys that can take a deer at 200 yards with a paper clip launched from a rubber band then the real crowd that knows what they are doing and have respectful thoughtful posts.

I don't post as much as I used to, I used to post simple questions and controversial viewpoints just to stimulate conversation.
10/10 times I knew the answer and the viewpoints were made up.

That new NOWAY member actually has a valid point about anger, people lose their cool 5 posts into a thread.

He does have 'a way about him ' And can't get over himself. Finally HE got another thread locked last nite.
