I just picked up my new XD-40 and put 60 rds threw it and it shoots great. I can see my self spending a lot of money on ammo at 14$ per box. I would probably shoot around 3000 rds per year. I was wondering if it would be worth it to get in to reloading and how much cheaper it would be. I was wondering if all brass is the same or if you should reload with better quality brass? Any input would be great thanks.

Depending on what type of bullet you use e.g lead versus jacket the saving can be quite different. I reload 38 Spl with lead bullets for about $4 per 50 rounds. For 9mm Luger I use a jacket bullet and it cost about $8 per 50 rounds. On rifle ammo you can generally save 1/2 price on something like 30-06 sprg. On the newer magnum calibre you can save even more.
