Question on running your rear sight

This is the plastic Diemaco back up "iron" sight they give you on ex. Most likely you do not even shoot live rounds in a specialized training like that. Mostly blanks might be used. Ranges are ranges.

Guys put that thing on anywhere just to have it there and not lose it. Even sometimes guys put it the other way around...lol So this picture do not mean anything. Maybe the guy is not even zeroed because he do not plan shooting is C8.

To your question: Yes putting it a little forward will open your field of view. Less accurate but you will be able to see more and better around you. Less tunnel vision in another words. But for Tac shoot and CQB it will be enough. Remember precision shooting is one thing. Real life close range is something else.
