Question on Sig P226's

Are the P226 frames modular? looks to me you can change from one caliber to another by simply replace the barrel, slide and magazine.
 
My 229 has 3 barrels for it. The 226 frame can take the .40cal slide and the 9mm slide or the .22cal slide. You can not mix slides from a 226 , 229 or 220 though.
