Gentlemen,
I have been ask that I should post my files on my web site and NOT to the M1 Garand Boards as I do now. What do you guys think I sould do. Drop the Boards, or post as I do now ? Important input please as I might have to drop one site already.
Thanks again
Clancy

Clancy,

Keep posting. :)

I know most people here in the Mil-Surplus forum if they respond to your posts or not enjoy reading them as we all like to learn about the history of the old firearms. :)

thirded, I don't mind, but I am not an Admin or Moderator. If they have an issue with it, I am sure they will communicate it. Otherwise thanks, its a good quick little bit of info.

I feel that alot of this stuff is quite valuble info. Ive learned alot of helpful
stuff that isnt covered in any of the books by Scott Duff. I'm especially
interested in tools they used and specs for original parts.

Gentlemen,
Many guys tell me my data is old info that they don't see why I post it. Others tell me I take up to much space I know it's crazy, but that's some of the answers I get. I am trying to get some sponsors for about 50 buck a month to help me keep up my sites and other costs. That's what I think the Boss is looking for and she sometimes gets P.O. with some of the data I get telling me my data is not important to them unless I can tell them how much their M1 is worth and when was it built. I have been paying all the costs out of the Boss pocket and she can't see why the guys don't try to help me out?? By buying a book/CD
Anyway thanks guys for your comebacks.
Ed
ps I will try to keep my data as is for as long as I can.

I don't see what the problem is? I find it interesting and I thought that a free exchange of ideas and information was kinda' the point of CGN? Those who don't will simply move on to the next post.

There is no such thing as outdated gun information. Some of it has not been reprocessed by Guns and Blammo magazine or a single page website. The thing I like about your M1 stuff is, most of that is not found anywhere else. Like the high level correspondence about the USMC have 50,000 M1903 rifles and then deciding they want M1 Garands. Or, another sequence (which might have been yours) on the production steps to make rear sights. How else would layman understand each sight is a segment cut and finished from a giant toothed wheel?

Books are made to be read. Too bad people seem to have stopped reading.

Gentlemen,
All I am trying to do is to get the real Ordnance data out there. Sure my posts go to my sites to maybe sell a book or a CD haven't sold one for a long time. This stuff goes against many guys who heard at a gun show of shop a story on the M1 and that's what they go by and will not change, Even if I post the Ordnance Order they still tell me my stuff is wrong. Some of you might see what I am up against.
Gentlemen thanks for you comebacks. Even if I could sell you just a copy of the CD you would be back for more. Just letting me know that you guys are even reading my data helps.
Thanks again
Ed
