Question re SAFN mag

I have a SAFN with a some damage to the mag body, am I correct in assuming if I order a new mag body I will have to pin it somehow to 5 rounds ? If so does anyone know of a source in Canada to purchase a replacement that is pinned / modified to limit to 5 rounds?
 
Semi-auto mags, new or not, are restricted to 5 rounds only. The only exception is the M-1.
How bad is the damage? You may be able to fix it.
 
The problem is around the pinning, that was done to make a 5 round mag. Not repairable unless I want a 3 round mag. Not a good solution.
 
First FN 49 mags are not interchangable. I picked up a 7x57 without a mag. I tried a 8mm. and it would not fit. I did find a 30.06 mag and had to cut it to shortner it then tig. it back together which worked well. I was able to locate the mag from ONT.GUN.

Just to help out this is a Egyptian SAFN in 7.92. I have considered a patch to reinforce the area where it cracking but would rather just replace the body.
 
The magazines are not interchangeable some other parts are though. :)

Can't help you find one my FN49 didn't have a magazine and I lucked out that a family friend who bought a FN49 had the extra magazine he bought with the rifle still in his gunsafe after he got rid of his FN. :)

Maybe post a wanted to buy ad in the Marketplace and maybe someone has a extra for the caliber of your rifle. :)
