Question re: Sig P226R

I saw your combo deal with the Sig P226R I am wondering what the R designation means? That model is not listed on the Sig site. What is the difference between the 226R and the P226? Thanks

R Stands for 'Rail' - Just specifies that there is a rail under the barrel

P226R = P226 Rail. The p226R has picatinny rail under frame

Note: there areb2 different rails !!!
So remember that if ordering a custom kydex holster the mk25 navy model and the reg sig 226 r have different rails one is of a lower profile

All new 226s have rail. MK25 and the 226 Combat have a different rail than the other 226. If you ever get a holster and you have a MK25 or a Combat make sure you choose the right model as there rails are bigger that half moon standard a Sig rail.

Does the Sig P226R come with the limited lifetime warranty from Sig? Is that warranty through CanAm, or Sig directly?

Nice choice if you go that way. The P226R was my first handgun and I love it. If you do not like the rail you could look for a referb German-made without the rail.

Not so sure about that one. I have a Glock but I like my Sig more so it's worth the extra coin to me. lol
