Just had a quick question regarding which buffer I should start with for my 7.5" AR15 build.
I have ordered a Spikes T3 Heavy buffer, as the T1 and T2 were both out of stock. Is the T3 too heavy for my setup?
Here's a little bit about what I've got so far:
- FA BCG
- BCM Gunfighter charging handle w/ Mod 3
- Spikes Tactical 7.5" Lothar Walther Barrel w/ pistol length gas system
- DPMS low profile gas block
- Motiuk custom lower receiver
- Spikes Tactical upper receiver
- Levang Linear Comp. w/ Dlask XB1 on the way to see which performs better
- Doublestar lower parts kit
- Milspec buffer tube, and an assortment of buffer springs.
the rest (grip, stock etc.) shouldn't have an impact on which buffer I use so no need to include that info I suppose haha
Figured I'd kill two birds with one stone...
My second question is (being my first complete build), is there anything in particular I need to do with the BCG or bolt before firing the rifle for the first time? I have heard of checking the head spacing etc. and have watched the Brownells clip, but I don't have a head space gauge. It is a brand new BCG purchased from CTS.
Thank you in advance for your info and comments
