So I've been searching and searching and it seems like they're impossible to find anywhere in Canada. I know that Tradex and TSC are listed as Chapuis Arms dealers but I was hoping to find one that was made before Manurhin was acquired by Chapuis.

I was hoping someone more experienced than I am would have some pointers about these seemingly impossible to find revolvers.

Manurhin revolvers are sold thru Chapuis Armes from France.

According to their website, their representative in canada are: Dante in Montreal, Calgary Shooting Center, Tradex Ex in Hawkesbury.

Used one are rare and expensive in Canada, i think i saw only one for sale in the EE this year.

I recently looked at a Chapuis double O/U rifle the quality was outstanding. I wouldn't worry about the quality of anything they produce.

I believe the consensus is that Manurhins made prior to Chapuis take over are of higher fit and finish quality. I can't attest to that since I've never had a chance to handle them side by side. However I also believe that Chapuis is an outstanding firearm maker so if I can't find a second hand, I will have to buy one new.

I believe it was. Wooden case with tools etc although there was an empty space where I think the 9mm cylinder was supposed to be.

You can get them in Euprope for around 900-1100 Euro but most of them are missing the 9mm cylinder. I wonder why ...

My understanding is that the 9mm cylinder is actually an option on the MR73 Sport. Some of them were ordered with the extra cylinder and some people didn't really want a 9mm revolver....

If I can find a vintage MR73 here I doubt I'd care much about the 9mm cylinder. Then again I'm sure you can always order one through Chapuis since the specs for the revolver are the same.

They are available used in Europe, which would bypass Chapuis' distribution, but good luck finding a store able to speak English or willing to go through export paperwork.

9mm are few, usually with short barrels (prohib for us), and legal in France and Belgium. The French were usually restricted to one, then two guns in military calibers and would generally not waste the licence(s) on an accessory cylinder.

i got an answer from Chapuis about getting new ones.

these are the two importers for the MR 73:
